Blythe Scott was born in 1969 in Glasgow, Scotland. Blythe attended
GSA where she graduated with an honours degree in EWT in 1991. She then went on
to achieve a post graduate diploma with distinction in Art & Design
Education from Strathclyde University.
Blythe has lived and exhibited in many countries. She now
works from her studio in Melrose in the Scottish Borders where she creates
uplifting mixed media art inspired by Scotland's cities, coastlines and
countryside. Her vibrant paintings are characterised by harmonious colour, a
sense of movement, intriguing textures and a fearless, expressive approach to
drawing.
Blythe’s work is featured in private and corporate
collections in North America, Asia, the UK, mainland Europe and Australia.
