Morag Smith

Morag Smith was born in May 1967 and studied and worked as a Graphic Artist for many years before moving to Johnshaven where she now lives and works as a full-time Artist.

Using sketches and memory to gather information from the fleeting moments in a journey, Morag reinvents the experience onto board, enjoying the process of building up layers finding depth, scraping back revealing underlying colours and textures. The finished piece ends as a simplified visual memory.

Her work is collected throughout the UK and abroad.
