Donald Provan

Donald Provan is an Edinburgh based Scottish artist and graduate of Edinburgh College of Art.

Graduating in 1986, Donald has gone on to win many prizes for his distinctive oil and watercolour paintings, largely relating to water and usually divided into two distinct areas - the land or seascape above the water and the fish-life below.

Known for his large and powerful landscapes and detailed, intricate paintings of fish, Donald's paintings exhibit a mastery of tone and texture, often painted with a limited colour palette but always of the highest quality and appeal.

Donald has participated in numerous exhibitions throughout the UK, and is featured in collections worldwide.
