Glasgow School of Art 1954-58, Marj Bond is a highly esteemed figure in the Scottish Arts.
Known for her work depicting icons, symbols and motifs as well as her vibrantly coloured collaged paintings, she paints with a joy of colour coupled with a passion for texture and shape. In a fusion of her own Celtic and other early cultures encountered during her many travels, Marj Bond’s work is inspired by the light and colour of her extensive journeys to India, Morocco, Cuba and Mexico.
She has exhibited regularly throughout the UK and abroad, and has won many awards. An elected member of the Scottish Society of Artists and the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour. Her works are found in many private and public collections worldwide.
