Profile of Lin Pattullo

Lin Pattullo was born in Glasgow in 1949 and brought up on the Ayrshire coast. Lin always loved drawing and sketching and this enthusiasm continued through an early career in nursing. She returned to painting full time when family grew up and works from her studio in rural Perthshire.

Bright colours and the interaction of light and shade are important ingredients in her work, as is the selection of subjects which catch her imagination - these range from portraits of children on ski slopes or at the seaside, through the peace and curves of little boats at anchor, to scenes of sunny Mediterranean (and even Scottish) villages.

Lin is an elected member of the Glasgow Society of Women Artists and the Paisley Art Institute. She exhibits regularly at the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and the Royal Scottish Academy.
